Two Different Hiking Routes at Mount Agung

1. Mount Agung Trekking Via Besakih Temple (West Side)

• The most popular and challenging route
• Begins near Besakih Temple, the most sacred temple in Bali, known as the Mother Temple
• Trek through dense jungle; ascent takes approximately 6 to 7 hours
• Final hour is very demanding, often requiring ascent on all fours
• Begin at around 11:00 PM to reach the summit by dawn for a stunning sunrise view over Mount Rinjani and the Caldera Batur crater with Lake Batur

2. Mount Agung Hike Via Pasar Agung Temple (East Side)

• Shorter hike, about 3 to 4 hours, ascending 2,000 meters
• Less steep compared to the Besakih route, ends 100 meters below the summit
• Start at 2:00 AM to reach the viewpoint before dawn
• Offers excellent views in all directions, including the crater

Besakih Temple Route:

• 21:00: Pick-up from Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud Area
• 23:00: Start trekking from Besakih Temple
• 06:00: Witness the beautiful sunrise
• 06:30: Enjoy a simple breakfast
• 07:00: Explore the main crater of Mount Agung
• 08:00: Begin descent

Pasar Agung Temple Route:

• 24:00: Pick-up from Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud Area
• 02:00: Start trekking from Pasar Agung Temple
• 06:00: Witness the beautiful sunrise
• 06:30: Enjoy a simple breakfast
• 07:00: Explore the main crater of Mount Agung
• 08:00: Begin descent

Things You Need to Know:

• Exact pick-up time will be confirmed in your voucher email
• Free hotel return transfers in Seminyak, Kerobokan, Sanur, Kuta, and Nusa Dua
• Activity is subject to favorable weather conditions
• If the trip is canceled due to poor weather, you will be offered an alternative activity at no additional charge
• Pick-up and drop-off in remote areas like Uluwatu, Pecatu, and Canggu are subject to an additional charge of USD 10 per group (up to 6 people)

• Amendments must be made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability
• Cancel at least 48 hours before departure: No cancellation fee
• Cancel within 47 to 24 hours before departure: 50% of the tour price charged
• Cancel less than 24 hours before departure or no-show: 100% of the tour price charged
